Toyota India has launched Etios Cross this year at Rs 5.76 lakh, ex-Delhi. The Etios Cross comes in four variants, two petrol variants and two diesel variants. The petrol variants are named ‘G’ and ‘V’ and diesel one is ‘GD’ and ‘VD’.
This model is based on the Liva hatchback. The exterior has addition of plastic cladding to the sides and wheel arches, beefed up bumpers, skid plates, bull bar and roof rails.
In the interior the cabin gets an all black finish with a gloss and matte finish that gives a more refined look. The upholstery on the seats has ‘Etios Cross’ logo embroidered and it makes the interior unique.
The variants ‘V’ and ‘VD’ will be getting dual airbags while ABS is available on all versions except the ‘G’ trim. Other features include in ‘V’ and ‘VD’ variants are audio system with aux-in and Bluetooth capabilities and steering wheel wrapped in leather. All the engines come only with the 5-speed manual transmission.
Another car that is available under Rs six lakh is Nissan Micra diesel hatchback. This model is prices at Rs 5.57 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The entry level Micra XE is based on the popular fourth generation city car with redesigned exteriors and interiors. It comes with fuel economy of 23.08 kmpl and will be available in range of six colours: Olive Green (new), Turquoise Blue (new), Blade Silver, Storm White, Onyx Black and Brick Red.

Hyundai i20 is another car that is priced below Rs six lakh. It is available in both the variants i.e. petrol and diesel. The Hyundai i20 starting range for petrol is Rs 4.81 Lakh and for diesel it is Rs 5.96 lakh. The petrol variant comes with 1.2 Kappa engine with Dual VTVT mechanism. The diesel variant is affixed with fresh 1.4 litre CRDi diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission.
