Lenovo a reputed brand selling laptops, smartphones and other related gadgets has announced a new laptop series (the Lenovo G40/G50), apart from the Lenovo Z50 laptop and Lenovo C260 all-in-one PC. Lenovo has also announced the Flex 2 and Yoga 2.
The G40/G50 with windows 8.1 from lenovo series are the new-entry level series and the range starts at Rs 22,990. The Lenovo Z50 starting range is Rs 39,990. Lenovo all-in-one desktop starts at Rs 28,490. All these laptops and PCs run on Windows 8.1.
The G40/G50 series laptops have fourth generation Intel Core i3 processor or AMD A8 Beema processor, and Nvidia GeForce GT 820M 2GB graphics (GT 840M for G50). The 16GB of DDR3L RAM (1600MHz) can be included, and there is a choice of 1TB HDD or 1TB hybrid drive.
There is an integrated optical drive, and these laptop series also features stereo speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio, USB 3.0 ports, and an SD/MMC card-reader. These laptops have four hours of battery.
The size of Lenovo G40/G50 series laptops
When it comes to size, the Lenovo G40 series budget notebooks are 24.8mm thin and sport a screen size of 14-inch HD (1366X768 pixels). The Lenovo G50 series are 25mm thin and come with a screen size of 15.6 inch HD (1366X768 pixels).
The Lenovo Z50 displays 15.6-inch HD (1366X768 pixels). It comes with Windows 8.1 and is based on fourth generation Intel Core i7-4510U clocked at 2GHz. This laptop also comes with Intec Core i5-4210U clocked at 1.9 GHz.
When it comes to storage then Lenovo Z50 has 8GB of DDR3L RAM and is available in two storage variants – 1TB HDD or 500 GB Hybrid (with 8GB SSHD). There is one webcam on the top of the Lenovo Z50. It has five hours of battery life.
Lenovo also launched all-in-one desktop Lenovo C260. It has 19.5-inch HD (1600X900 pixels) LED display. It runs Windows 8.1 and is powered by a quad-core Intel Pentium JJ2850 clocked at 2.41 GHz. The storage of all-in-one desktop comes with 8GB of DDR3 RAM and packs a 1TB HDD.
The Laptops have proved to be a convenient to many people as these can be carried at any place. Laptops have an edge over desktops as it gives an ease for working from anywhere. One can check out the recently launched series G40, G50 and Z50 from Lenovo as these are having Windows 8.1.
